Nissan’s brand-new electric crossover vehicle is powering even more interest from car buyers wanting to move away from petrol and diesel engines.
The Ariya, for which pricing was released only last Friday, has already inspired customers with its space-age cabin, advanced technology and range of up to 310 miles.
With the order book for Ariya only open for five days, West Way customers have already pre-ordered 14 Ariya models and hundreds of enquiries are flooding in for the latest addition to the Nissan range.
Critically acclaimed by the media and public, the Ariya looks to be setting the standard for future electric vehicles, much like the LEAF did in 2011 when Nissan launched the first mass-production all-electric car in the UK.
West Way Sales Director Alan Rotchell said: “Media reaction to the Ariya has been hugely positive, but it’s the response from customers which has been truly overwhelming – with eight sales yesterday alone.
“This car will help take Nissan to the next level in terms of our EV offering to customers and we can’t wait to get the new model in showrooms.”
Ariya’s entry-level model, the Advance, boasts a 63kWh battery with a maximum driving range of 223 miles with the Evolve’s 87kWh power providing a range of over 300 miles.
There are also two e-4ORCE grades with dual motor powertrains: the Evolve providing a 285-mile range and the e-4ORCE 87kWh Performance which offers up to 248 miles.
Nissan is planning to display models as early as next February and is intending that customers can experience the Ariya in showrooms from next May.
