A PERTH dealership has kicked off an exciting new partnership with Scottish Premiership giants, St Johnstone.
Specialist Cars Nissan in Strathtay Road became the first local firm to enter into a new business alliance set up by the football club and Perth and Kinross Council.
The aim is for local businesses to share ideas to help the local economy as well as a chance to network at regular breakfast club meetings.
In return for an annual subscription, the dealership will also have advertising hoardings at McDiarmid Park, while some of the latest Nissan cars will go on show at the ground on match-days.
The Perth Nissan dealership, in Strathtay Road, only opened in May this year, with significant investment made to turn the building into a top of the range showroom.
Andrew Simpson, Dealer Principal at Specialist Cars Nissan, said: “It’s something we were very keen to get involved with as we are a new brand to the area.
‘It gives us the opportunity to network with other businesses and have Specialist Cars Nissan on display at the ground on match days.”
Specialist Cars is part of the John Clark Motor Group, which also has Nissan dealerships in Aberdeen and Dundee, cementing its status as the number one Nissan retailer in the north-east of Scotland.
Dave Ryan, General Manager at St Johnstone, said: “It’s all about businesses in Perth promoting themselves within the city and outside as well. As a football club, St Johnstone has a national reach through our TV coverage so local firms can gain some great exposure. This alliance is also about companies sharing ideas with each other to help improve their businesses.”
