The leasing arm of a Midlands-based dealership group has supplied six all-electric Nissan e-NV200 vans to Coventry City Council.
The local authority took delivery of the vans from Arbury Leasing, a division of Arbury Motor Group, which operates dealerships across Birmingham, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.
The company represents a number of manufacturers, including Nissan in Bromsgrove and Leamington Spa, which is also the location of its business centre.
Arbury’s leasing operation looks after customers interested in personal contract hire, business contract hire, hire purchase and the outright purchase of cars and vans.
The award-winning, emission-free e-NV200 is becoming increasingly popular with fleet managers in both the public and private sectors.
Its 40kWh battery means operators never have to spend money on expensive diesel or petrol while its service, maintenance and repair bills are appreciably lower than those of vans with traditional internal combustion engines.
Earlier this month, the e-NV200 was a winner in the What Car? Van Awards, picking up the ‘Best Value for Ownership Costs’ gong in the small van category.
James Mackay, Arbury Group Fleet Sales Manager, said: ‘‘We were delighted to supply these e-NV200s to Coventry City Council and we are sure the fleet team at the authority will be pleased with their choice.
‘‘The e-NV200 is smooth, practical and incredibly efficient and its maximum range of 187 miles in city conditions is genuinely impressive.
‘‘More and more local authorities are discovering the benefits of running e-NV200s and we’re always pleased to assist.’’
