Somerset car dealership celebrates its 25th anniversary with Nissan

A Nissan dealership in Somerset is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the Japanese car manufacturer – and has been presented with a long service award to mark the occasion.

The team at FJ Chalke Nissan Yeovil were recently visited by Matt Duncan, Nissan’s Network Development and Customer Quality Director, who handed over a special certificate to Steve Fowler, FJ Chalke Managing Director.

The family-run dealer group began representing Nissan in Yeovil in 1999, 12 years after its first Nissan dealership, in Wincanton, started trading in 1987.

The Yeovil dealership – at Fusion Park, West Hendford – has a nine-car showroom, space for 120 used vehicles and a fully-equipped workshop.

In addition, it boasts 10 electric charging bays and can generate its own electricity using solar panels on the roof. Rain water is collected to reduce reliance on the mains water supply.

Steve Fowler, Managing Director of FJ Chalke, receives the award from Matt Duncan, Nissan’s Network Development and Customer Quality Director. To the right of Matt is Mark Swain, Yeovil Branch Director, and next to Mark is Matt Newham, Sales Manager at the dealership. Joining the celebrations are the sales consultants, sales advisors and technicians at FJ Chalke Nissan Yeovil.

The 16-strong team is headed up by Branch Director Mark Swain, Sales Manager Matt Newham and Service Manager Alfie Mann.

Steve Fowler, Managing Director of FJ Chalke, said: ‘‘We’re proud and delighted to have represented Nissan in Yeovil for 25 years.

‘‘Nissan is in a great place right now, with Qashqai and Juke regularly appearing in lists of the top 10 best-selling cars in the UK, and ARIYA and LEAF proving popular with motorists turning to electric motoring.
