A Northamptonshire Nissan dealership is celebrating a successful run-up to the festive season after delivering more than a dozen brand new, all-electric LEAF hatchbacks to a thriving local company.
Richard Sanders Nissan, of Northfield Avenue, Kettering, arranged for the client to be supplied with 13 LEAFs equipped with 39kWh batteries and in Acenta-level trim.
Putting the deal together was a team effort in terms of ordering, preparing and taxing the cars, with Dealer Principal Ben Notton playing a key role in making sure everything came together in a timely fashion.
Ben explained: ‘‘I’ve had dealings with this company myself personally over the years so I thought I’d see if I could supply them with some vehicles. Next thing you know, I’m ordering 13 cars for them!
‘‘It’s nice to have this working relationship with this company, and we hope to be able to supply more electric cars to them in the future and build up their electric fleet!’’
Built in Britain, the multi-award-winning LEAF was introduced more than ten years ago, and is now in its third generation. With 605,000 cars having been sold globally – more than 56,000 of those in the UK – it’s clear that it’s still popular and relevant.
With a five-star Euro NCAP rating and up to 239 miles of range, LEAF is a popular choice for families and businesses and continues to drive the electric vehicle market.
The family business Richard Sanders is run by Richard himself, plus his wife Jenny and sons Mark and Nick. The company offers a full range of Nissan services, from the sale of new and used cars and commercial vehicles, to carrying out services and repairs, and the supply of genuine replacement Nissan parts.
