A NORTHUMBERLAND car retailer is hoping crime does pay as it hosts a charity talk by the UK’s leading criminologist.
Professor David Wilson will return to Blackshaws Nissan in Alnwick on Friday, March 6 to chat about his work and his recent ITV programme, Bring Back Borstal.
The series followed young offenders who volunteered to experience the strict regime inside a 1930s-style borstal.
His previous appearance at the dealership on the Lionheart Enterprise Park was a sell-out attended by more than 200 people and raised £1,700 for HospiceCare North Northumberland.
Tickets for next month’s talk have also sold out and will raise money for the same cause.
William Blackshaw, Dealer Principal at Blackshaws Nissan, said: “We’re delighted to welcome back Professor David Wilson who has kindly agreed to make time in his busy schedule to give another talk at Blackshaws.
“It’s going to be a fascinating evening and a very popular one. Hopefully we’ll raise lots of money for a very worthwhile cause.”
