An automotive dealer group in the North West of England is celebrating a significant landmark in a long-standing relationship with one of its most highly valued and loyal fleet customers.
Lancashire-based Chorley Group has been supplying Nissan vehicles to the fire prevention and security company Black Box Group for 20 years – and the relationship is going from strength to strength.
Black Box Group, itself based in Chorley, runs a fleet of 55 vans, all but a handful of which are Nissan models. All vehicles are adorned with official Black Box Group livery, with the firm’s eye-catching new logo included as part of the design.
Sharp and dynamic
The Nissan contingent is a combination of award-winning Townstars, Nissan’s award-winning compact offering to LCV customers; and Primastars, the manufacturer’s mid-size option, boasting a sharp and dynamic appearance plus a comfortable cabin and plenty of useful on-board technology.
The vehicles are used by Black Box Group employees who supply, install and maintain all types of fire and security systems at a wide range of commercial premises across the North West, such as data centres, distribution hubs, office spaces, retail chains and industrial sites.
The company also provides a range of security and fire safety solutions tailored to the needs of domestic clients. Customers benefit from the latest technology with systems monitored 24/7 and friendly staff on hand to provide support.
Managing Director of the company, David Barnes, said he was delighted to have such a strong relationship with the corporate sales team at Chorley Group and added that Nissan Townstar and Primastar vans were ideal for his firm’s operational needs.
Furthermore, the two companies have just signed an agreement under which Chorley Group will supply Black Box Group with a new van every month for the foreseeable future.
‘‘Nissan vans are perfect for us,’’ said Mr Barnes. ‘‘They’re spacious and well-equipped but above all reliable and they come with generous warranties.
‘‘We have been delighted to escalate our partnership with Chorley Group over the last couple of years. It was something that was rather ad hoc until fairly recently, but our new arrangement is much more structured and demonstrates a commitment to the future from both sides.
‘‘We receive great levels of customer service from the corporate sales team at Chorley Group and have no complaints whatsoever.’’
Very impressive
Although the Nissan Townstar is available with an all-electric powertrain, Black Box Group is opting for petrol-engined versions for now, but may well make the switch to the EV life in future.
Mr Barnes said: ‘‘Nissan have been ahead of the game in terms of their LCV offering for a while. Not so long ago, we were running NV200s and NV250s so we’ve seen how things have moved on. It’s been very impressive.’’
Robson Broomhead, Corporate Centre Manager at Chorley Group, said: ‘‘Black Box Group are one of our most valued corporate clients and I couldn’t be more delighted that our relationship is going from strength to strength.
‘‘It’s great to see the company’s Nissan LCVs with their smart Black Box livery on the streets of the North-West and we look forward to working with the company for many years to come.’’
