An accounts assistant working in Bradford has been named as ‘Colleague of the Year’ in his division at the prestigious Vertu Masters Awards operated by the fourth largest automotive retailer group in the UK.

Connor Coulson, who works at Bradford Nissan Fleet Centre, took the top honour after establishing himself as a valuable member of the team since moving to his current role.

Connor was praised for his attention to detail, initiative and proactive approach to his work, which has been instrumental in improving financial processes and delivering strong results, particularly in managing and reducing outstanding debt.

His development and contribution have also earned recognition from colleagues across the business, resulting in him being put forward for the Colleague of the Year accolade.

The Vertu Masters Awards celebrate the achievements of the Group’s highest-performing non-management colleagues, with more than 7,800 employees across the UK competing for recognition.

Connor Coulson said: “It is fantastic to receive this award and to be recognised by my colleagues.

“Moving into accounts has given me the opportunity to develop new skills and take on new challenges, and I have really enjoyed it. The support from the team has been brilliant and has helped me grow in confidence in my role.”

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “It is excellent to see Connor recognised in this way for his efforts. He has made a significant impact in his roles, demonstrating professionalism, initiative and a strong commitment to our fleet team.

“The Vertu Masters Awards celebrate those who go above and beyond, and Connor should be proud of his achievement in being given this award.”
