A SERVICE manager at Macklin Motors Glasgow Nissan South has been rewarded for his hard work with a national award.
Ian Hunter was presented with the Service Manager Of The Year award at Vertu Motors’ annual CEO Awards dinner, which is hosted by Vertu Motors’ CEO Robert Forrester. The awards honour the achievements of its managers across the 120 outlets it operates.
Robert Forrester said: “Ian is a thoroughly deserving winner, not only has he delivered a fantastic set of results as service manager, but he has also demonstrated his ability to develop himself over time to achieve this personal and professional triumph.
Ian started his Vertu career in Glasgow Nissan South in 2011 as a master technician and quickly developed into the workshop controller role, whilst also still remaining productive and retaining his technical knowledge. He graduated from Vertu’s Aftersales Evolution Training in 2015 and was promoted to the position of service manager at the temporary Glasgow Nissan North dealership.
Robert added: “He has taken his department from a Manufacturer’s Customer Satisfaction score of below national average in 2016 to the top 25%. This is a fantastic achievement, delivering great service to our customers.”
Ian said: “I have been on an amazing journey with Vertu Motors and am thrilled to receive the award for ‘service manager of the year.’ I would also like to thank that rest of the team at Macklin Motors Glasgow Nissan South because without their contribution and hard work, this success would not have been possible.”
