NISSAN dealers are being urged to vote for the Qashqai after the SUV was shortlisted in the 2015 Telegraph Cars Awards.
It is one of three contenders in the Best SUV category, facing off against the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Porsche Macan. The national newspaper says: “As relaxing as the best family hatchbacks and more practical, the Qashqai is a stylish and sensible choice.”
Success would add to the crossover’s heaving shelf of trophies. Among its many titles, the all-new Qashqai was named Safest Small Family Car of 2014 by independent testing organisation Euro NCAP and 2014 Family Car of the Year by online tech review site Recombu.com, while this year has already seen it win the Best Mid-Sized SUV accolade at the Fleet News Awards 2015 and – for the second year running – the Best Small SUV gong at the What Car? Awards.
Designed, engineered and built in Britain, the Qashqai continues to deliver an unrivalled package of technology, safety, practicality and efficiency. Production has been seamlessly integrated into Nissan’s record-breaking Sunderland plant, with a new model completed every 61 seconds.
