Two employees from Wessex Garages have won the Nissan Dealer Ambassador of the Quarter award for their work over the previous three months.
The award, which acknowledges team members who consistently go above and beyond to provide customers with an exceptional experience, is presented to three Nissan employees per quarter and was given to Joseph Davies at Wessex Garages’ Nissan dealership in Cardiff and Ariya Whitson in Bristol.
Gareth Howells, Nissan Brand Director at Wessex Garages, said: “To win two of the three awards within one group is no mean feat and it goes to show just how hard our Nissan team have been working to ensure our customers are being properly looked after.”
Commenting on his award win, Davies said: “It’s fantastic to get such high-level recognition from Nissan for all the hard work I, as well as the wider Nissan team here at Wessex Garages, have been putting in over the past few months.
“I’ve really enjoyed getting familiar with all of the details of the vehicles as well as the sales process, to ensure I can deliver our customers the best possible experience from first enquiry through to servicing.”
Davies is also in the first cohort, along with nine others from Nissan dealerships around the UK, of the global Nissan Ambassador Programme. Through training directly from Nissan, the programme aims to address the changes in the customer journey by better aligning in-dealer behaviours to customer buying behaviours.
Being in the role for just six months, he is the first from the programme to also win the Ambassador of the Quarter award.
Customer-first approach
Howells continued: “The Nissan Ambassador Programme is something I wholeheartedly support. We were one of the first Nissan dealerships in the UK to sign up for it.
“Our industry is changing; customers are more educated than ever, and we see are visiting fewer showrooms before they buy. The customer-first approach, which this ambassador programme and awards champion – encompassing all departments from Sales to Parts and Servicing – is how we can stand out amongst competitors.”
