A BRISTOL Nissan dealer is helping the city’s biggest fireworks display in aid of charity go off with a big bang next month thanks to their sponsorship for the second year running.
Downend Round Table’s fireworks display takes place on November 4th at The King George V Playing Fields on Westerleigh Road in aid of Bristol and Bath Group of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
It is being backed by Wessex Garages’ Nissan Cribbs Causeway, who will be displaying a selection of vehicles during the event.
James Monteith, Chairman of the Downend Round Table, explained: “It is great news that Wessex Garages will be sponsoring our fireworks display again this year. We are able to plan and put together a great show thanks to the backing of Wessex and our other sponsors.
“The show is in its 45th year and visitors can expect to see a bonfire, children’s display, main display, live music and fire jugglers along with food, drink and funfair stands. Wessex will be on-site during the show, so keep an eye out for their representatives and vehicles.”
Staff will also be handing out glow sticks to children as well as running a competition for people to win £200 of shopping vouchers.
Simon Newson, General Manager at Wessex Garages’ Cribbs Causeway dealership, explained: “This is the second year we have sponsored the fireworks display and we are proud to be part of such a huge community event and helping to raise money for worthwhile causes.
“It promises to be a great night for all the family with live entertainment, fairground rides, food & drink, a children’s show and of course lots of impressive fireworks.
“Our team will be on hand during the evening to answer any questions people may have about the cars on display.”
