WESSEX Garages has been granted planning permission for a new multi-million pound dealership on a prominent site at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.
The new 18,000 sq ft outlet – the group’s third in the city – will open in 2015 and will create 25 new jobs.
Keith Brock, Managing Director of Wessex Garages, said: “We are over the moon that our planning permission has finally been approved and we can now really get the ball rolling on the new project.
“It’s a massive investment for us as the whole project will cost in the region of £5million.”
He added: “Wessex Garages is firmly rooted in Bristol’s business community and this next stage in our development will enable us to have a much greater impact on the local economy with the creation of new jobs and money being put back into the community.”
Dave Murfitt, Director of Network Development and Quality for Nissan Motor (GB) Limited, said: “We have been working with Wessex Garages on this project for over three years and are delighted that it has now received planning approval.
“The Nissan brand is growing in the UK; we have virtually doubled sales and market share in the past four years and we need to keep up with this growth.
“Building a showcase dealership in Cribbs Causeway with our long term business partners in the city, will ensure that we will provide a great facility in the ideal location to fully meet the needs of current and future Nissan customers.”
