FROM the look of despair in Satoshi Motoyama’s eyes to hands raised in triumph on the podium, we thought we’d present a small selection of pictures that seem to sum up a memorable weekend of motor racing at Le Mans.
It was a hugely successful weekend for Nissan, with the company taking nine out of the 10 top positions – and the awe-insipiring DeltaWing making an impressive debut before being unceremoniously bundled off the track and out of the race.
Driver Motoyama battled for over an hour to make emergency repairs to DeltaWing, sadly to no avail.
