A WEST Sussex mechanic has celebrated 30 years of keeping motorists on the road.
Nick Wells estimates he has worked on a staggering 35,000 vehicles during his three decades at Yeomans Nissan Worthing in Brougham Road.
The 52-year-old Master Technician said: “It’s a traditional family-run business – I’m on first name terms with the boss and that’s just how I like it. It’s always been a great place to work.”
Nick says he still gets customers from decades ago coming back to him to get their car serviced or repaired.
He added: “The cars have changed massively over the years. The technology Nissan has developed is mind-blowing and it keeps on being updated all the time.”
Another employee at Yeomans Nissan Worthing is also celebrating chalking up 30 years’ service.
Bill Marshall, 65, is a customer liaison worker – the friendly face who drops off people’s cars to their front doors. He’s loved so much that many customers ask for him by name to deliver their vehicles.
He said: “I love it here. I’ve always prided myself on being professional and courteous in my job.”
