NISSAN is the fifth most appreciated franchise for dealers to own in the UK according to the results of a leading survey.
The National Franchised Dealer Attitude Survey Summer 2011 placed Nissan in fifth place as voted for by dealers. –
Nissan was only beaten by Audi, Lexus, and BMW. Land Rover came in first place.
The least valued franchises by respondents are Proton, Fiat, Mazda, Renault, Honda and Seat.
The survey showed dealers’ relationships with carmakers have deteriorated over the past six months.
‘The key indicators would suggest that, combined with tougher economic conditions and a more aggressive stance by manufacturers, dealers are finding their relationship with manufacturers challenging,’ said NFDA director Sue Robinson.
The majority of dealer networks surveyed are dissatisfied with the standards their manufacturer sets them, most notably Mazda and Audi with both falling below the all dealer average mark. Dealer standards also appear to be an issue for Ford, Jaguar, Renault, Vauxhall and Volvo, it said.
