A NISSAN workshop employee with a passion for the carmaker’s iconic GT-R supercar has embarked on a 2,400-mile road trip through Europe with fellow enthusiasts.
Ross Harding works as a Senior Workshop Foreman at Ancaster Nissan in Bromley – one of only 21 UK dealers to specialise in the brand’s awesome NISMO and GT-R models – and was invited by the Battalion 30Five GT-R Owners Club on their nine-day Euro Tour.
A few members of the club are customers at the Plaistow Lane dealership and specifically invited Ross due to his expertise and extensive GT-R knowledge, ensuring they had an expert on hand in case their vehicles needed anything.
Ross travelled in a NP300 Navara with the 18-car convoy as they started in France and took a route from Digeon to Grenoble, following the famous Route Napoleon.
They then made their way down to the beautiful Gordes Du-Verdon river canyon, stopped off in Monaco and travelled across Italy, Switzerland and Austria before arriving in Germany and the famous Nürburgring Motorsports Grand Prix Track.
A delighted Ross, who is 37 and lives in Croydon, said: “I’ve been wanting to do something like this with the GT-R for years and was quite taken back when they asked me to join them on their tour across Europe. I love everything about the GT-R so when this opportunity came up it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.”
He added: “We travelled through some beautiful places in Europe and the GT-R got so much attention from passers-by because of its great looks. It was a great nine days on the road, some of the customers have become really good friends as a result.”
