A HOT Nissan Micra has been revealed at the Shanghai Motor Show boasting eye catching looks and scintillating performance.
As reported by Autocar, the ‘Compact Sport Concept’ takes the Micra’s already successful package and adds a dose of hot hatch flare to the mix.
Despite its large appearance, the Compact Sport Concept is just 3.482 metres, 1.444 metres high, and sits 8cm lower than its Micra sibling.
Under the bonnet lies a direct-injection turbocharged 1.6-litre engine which packs 188bhp. It’s mated to the ‘normal’ Micra’s CVT gearbox, with a six-speed manual shift mode.
Flared bumpers, a gaping grille, and large alloy wheels complete the sporty package, while the cabin boasts a look derived from sports shoes with red accents and mesh used throughout. The concept has been jointly designed by Nissan’s design studio in Beijing and the firm’s Japanese design HQ.
It is believed the car will be aimed at ’emerging markets’, however, meaning Nissan dealers in the UK will be unlikely to get their hands on it. However it does point towards the future for exciting new models from Nissan.
