Lookers Nissan Chester has been named the manufacturer’s Dealership Ambassador of the Year after customers provided incredibly positive feedback – with one even saying they’d had a ‘fabulous’ experience!
The business, in Sealand Road, beat off competition from around 150 other Nissan outlets across the UK after being put up for the award by Gordon Hunter, Nissan Aftersales Performance Manager.
In his nomination, Mr Hunter acknowledged that the dealership had faced its fair share of challenges in recent years – among them Covid of course; staff training and recruitment issues; and the fact that the site had undergone a necessary – yet somewhat disruptive – refurbishment.
Highly flattering
However, he said that members of the team had never lost sight of their long-term goals and had been consistent in their efforts to deliver the best possible outcomes for customers.
Mr Hunter singled out General Manager Dan Mann and Aftersales Manager Claire Andrews for special praise and said that as well as achieving increased levels of customer satisfaction, the business had worked hard to improve profitability, particularly in the aftersales arena.
To conclude, he said: ‘‘The culture of the business has been totally transformed. Staff are proud of their achievements and proud to work for Lookers Nissan Chester.’’
In deciding the Nissan Dealership Ambassador of the Year for 2022, assessors examined feedback from customers – much of which was highly flattering in the case of Lookers Nissan Chester.
One mentioned that they had enjoyed ‘‘excellent service from start to finish”. Another reported that staff had been ‘‘magnificently helpful,’’ while a third commented: “Our whole experience was fabulous. I’d highly recommend this dealership.”
A presentation ceremony was held recently to mark the success of everyone involved. Nissan’s Network Development and Customer Quality Director, Csaba Vincze, handed over a certificate to be displayed on the premises.
Mr Vincze said: ‘‘I am delighted to be here today to honour an incredibly hard-working team who have done everything possible to make this dealership one of the best-performing in our network.
Richly deserved

In addition to their certificate, the team received a £2,000 meal voucher and have been given special Dealership Ambassador email signatures to use.
As a manufacturer, Nissan continues to go from strength to strength in the UK. The all-electric LEAF was named ‘Best Car for City Drivers’ at the recent Auto Trader New Car Awards while X-Trail was described as ‘hugely capable’ as it picked up a gong at the 2023 Tow Car Awards.
