FIGURES released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders have confirmed the growing popularity of the all-new Nissan Qashqai.
The What Car? Car of the Year 2014 was the UK’s fifth best-selling car in July, with 4,729 units registered.
The official figures also show that the British-built model is the country’s sixth best-selling car of the year to date, with 30,919 units registered so far.
Overall, last month saw 172,907 new cars registered, equalling a 6.6 per cent rise for the industry as a whole. With July’s figures released, it brings the total of new cars registered so far in 2014 to 1,460,172.
And with the first half-year growth being faster than expected, it has led to the 2014 market forecast being revised up to 2.45 million registrations – a rise of 8.1 per cent on last year.
