CHORLEY Nissan Group has got through to the finals of the Lancashire Green Awards with the all-electric LEAF being the main focus of the company’s initiative.
The final awards ceremony is to be held in Preston and is being promoted by the Lancashire Evening Post.
As the biggest Nissan dealer group in the North West, Chorley Nissan Group has been actively getting local councils and businesses to consider getting behind the wheel of the Nissan LEAF – as well as retail customers.
Chorley Nissan Group has just invested in a rapid charger and two standard chargers at their Chorley dealership with plans afoot to put them in at another four branches.
A company spokesman said: ‘We’re investing £300k in a programme to install electric chargers at all of our dealerships across the group, which will be available for the public to use free of charge.’
