A GROUP of Sussex students have been given an insight into the state-of-the-art technology that has made Nissan the global leader in electric vehicles.
Motorline Nissan in Gatwick Road took the Nissan LEAF and e-NV200 van to Central Sussex College’s Futures Fair.
There, students got the chance to learn about the 100% electric vehicles – which cost just 2p a mile to run and are market leaders in the field of electric motoring.
Thérèse Wynn-Davies, Innovation Specialist at Motorline Nissan Crawley, said: “The students loved learning all about the Nissan LEAF and e-NV200 – they know that electric motoring is well and truly thriving today.
“They were fascinated to learn how both vehicles can be charged up to 80% in as little as 30 minutes and for such little cost.
“For some it was their first introduction to electric vehicles. Hopefully they will become the next generation of electric vehicle owners.”
