A TEAM of 50 staff members from South Wales car dealer group Griffin Mill will be taking part in this year’s Caerphilly 10k race to raise money for charity.
Staff including directors, managers, service advisors, technicians, and their family and friends will be hoping to raise £5,000 for cancer charity Macmillan.
All will be running in memory of colleague Allan ‘Gripper’ Griffiths, who passed away in February this year.
Mark Pardoe, Operations Director at Griffin Mill Nissan, Pontypridd, said: “Allan was an amazing character, who was loved by both colleagues and customers.
“With the consent of Allan’s family, we are entering a team of more than 50 runners to help raise both awareness and money for Macmillan Cancer Support, who gave so much to Allan after he was diagnosed and during his treatment. We are looking to raise £5,000, but hope to raise much, much more.”
