A NISSAN dealership in West Sussex has won one of the car manufacturer’s highly-prized Global Awards.
With a staff of 25 or so employed at Yeomans of Worthing, General Manager Gary Miles is delighted on behalf of his team and praised them all for delivering a consistently high performance to reach a real highlight in the dealership’s long history.
‘The whole team really deserves this award,’ he said. ‘As General Manager, I am involved in all areas of our business and without doubt we have worked hard to get this award across every department.’
Privately-owned Yeomans has been associated with the Nissan brand for nearly 20 years in Worthing and has other sites in Bognor and a brand new facility in Eastbourne.
‘We’re a long-standing dealership and we’ve always enjoyed good customer loyalty and success,’ said Miles. ‘We’ve certainly got a good team and it’s important for customers to see the same people when they visit us. We see ourselves as part of the community. Looking after our customers during and after the sale is top of my list of priorities.
‘The whole team deserves credit. We have people who have been with us since the beginning and this is so important to us as a dealership.’
In deciding who the Global Awards should go to, Nissan looked at all aspects of a dealership, including customer satisfaction rates and sales success.
‘The award is all about people who realise that customer satisfaction is number one. The award is based on a balanced scorecard across all aspects of the dealership so it’s fantastic to be a winner,’ said Miles.
‘In the UK, everyone’s had incredible success with Juke and Qashqai. The great news is we have more new product coming next year which is exciting. It’s a good time to be associated with Nissan – the product range is the best we have ever seen.’
Circle of excellence
Yeomans’ Global Award coincides with similar successes for two other UK Nissan dealers: Fred Coupe Nissan, of Preston, Lancashire; and J S Holmes of Cambridgeshire. The trio are among a total of just 117 dealerships around the world which have been recognised in this way.
In a special video message, Nissan President and Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn told the team at Yeomans: ‘To win the Nissan Global Award is recognition of your hard work and evidence of your team’s performance. You belong to a very exclusive circle of excellence.’
The Yeomans team received their award from Dave Murfitt, Nissan’s Network Development and Quality Director.
