The names of Nissan’s three Dealer Ambassadors for the month of June have been revealed.
As ever, all have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make life that little bit easier for colleagues – and have helped to ensure every customer’s experience is a truly special one.
The first winner for June is Matthew Heels, pictured, a sales consultant at Arbury Nissan, Bromsgrove. Hard-working Matthew spent a lot of time learning all about All New Qashqai recently and produced a high-quality walk-around video which was sent to everyone on the dealership’s database.
This created a lot of interest in the car and resulted in several sales. You can watch Matthew’s video at the end of this article!
The second winner for June is Neil Smith, a service advisor at Lookers Nissan, Gateshead, who went to the aid of a stranded customer outside normal working hours.
The customer was in a multi-storey car park with suspected battery issues – but their breakdown organisation was unable to assist quickly enough.
Brand loyalty
With the parts department closed, Neil identified a similar vehicle, removed the battery, and drove in his own car to attend to the customer, switching the batteries when he arrived.
This meant the customer could return home to her poorly husband – but added an hour and a half to Neil’s working day. Neil refused an offer of payment for his efforts but was pleased to receive some chocolate as a gift the following day.
Our third winner for June is service manager Paul McDermott of Yeomans Nissan, Worthing.
The dealership received an online query on a Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon, with a distressed customer suspecting steering problems.
Although not working that weekend, Paul made contact and went to the customer’s home the following day. Arriving in a courtesy car, he also took a diagnostic device and returned to the dealership with the customer’s vehicle, having cleared the fault code.
A full repair was then carried out within a couple of days. The customer has since been into the dealership to express their thanks, and has purchased a new X-Trail.
The Dealer Ambassador of the Month Awards are open to everyone working in Nissan’s UK retail network and recognise the lengths staff members go to in order to make the lives of their colleagues and customers that little bit easier.
As well as receiving official recognition, each winner is awarded 350 N-GAGE points.
The Awards continue throughout 2021. Senior staff are invited to nominate deserving team members through the Dealer Ambassador of the Month portal via N-GAGE.
