EARLIER this month it was announced that the Nissan LEAF was set to take on the gruelling Pikes Peak hill-climb.
With professional driver Chad Hord behind the wheel of the completely standard LEAF, he crossed the finish line in 14 minutes and 33 seconds last weekend.
While that was one of the slowest times of the event, it did set a new record for a full-production electric vehicle.
