A NEW car showroom will have one of the most hi-tech workshops in the country, according to a Nissan dealer group behind the project.
Wessex Garages says its new Nissan showroom at Cribbs Causeway, near Bristol – to be launched by the end of December – promises cutting edge facilities which are among the best in the UK.
Keith Brock, Managing Director of Wessex Garages, said: “We have very high standards here at Wessex and it was vital for us to offer our customers top notch aftersales care at our new dealership.
“The workshop at the site will represent a flagship venture for us and will see a move away from a traditional garage look to a bright, light, modern and spotlessly clean environment, with all the very latest hi-tech equipment available to offer our customers the very best for their vehicles. In fact it’ll be more like a sci-fi operating theatre than a traditional motor workshop.”
The facilities have cost around £300,000 for the company to build and install, and will be home to eight technicians, including two Master Technicians and two apprentices. All will be factory-trained to the highest standards required by Nissan and Wessex.
Keith continued: “We have invested in the latest ‘in ground’ Stenhoj lifts that rise out of the floor, rather than the old-fashioned two post lifts that take up a lot of space and look aesthetically unappealing.
“Customers will be able to sit in our bespoke customer waiting area with full viewing directly into the workshop, this ties in with one of our core values – transparency – as well as showcasing our incredible facilities. We will also have the very latest in diagnostic technology and be able to offer customers the best expert advice from our fully-trained, factory technicians.
“There really are very few dealerships with workshops like this in the country. Our new dealership and the workshop is part of our on-going vision to ensure our customer always comes first.”
The new dealership at Cribbs represents a huge investment for Wessex Garages as the whole project will cost in the region of £5million. It will also be a centre for electric vehicles and will have three charging points for owners to use.
Keith added: “Our new site on Hayes Way at Cribbs Causeway, an area that is developing, looks set to be an excellent retail location for us and we’re working hard to have it open and ready for visitors at the end of December.”
