Revised NV200 breaks loose

June 20, 2011
Home Nissan GB News

NISSAN dealers can expect the NV200 range in their showrooms to be better than ever before as of next month.

The popular van will be available with a range of enhancements from July 1, adding everything from satellite navigation to a more powerful engine.

Top of the billing is the standard fitment of Bluetooth connectivity across the entire range, while in SE grade, customers will be able to benefit from another new standard fit item – a rear view camera.

Dealers will also be able to offer a new model – £13,585 n-tec variant. In addition to the generous standard kit offered by SE trim, n-tec adds the popular Nissan Connect satellite navigation and communication system along with cruise control and a speed limiter.

N-tec variants will also be available with the HI-TEC option package, which consists of air conditioning and Intelligent Key. Providing even more convenience for the driver, Intelligent Key is Nissan’s advanced keyless entry and start system.

That’s not all. A more powerful version of the 85hp 1.5-litre dCi will be on offer with 110hp. Compliant with Euro 5 emissions regulations and available on all but the entry-level E-grade NV200, the more powerful engine’s CO2 output increases by only 2g/km to 139g/km. Opting for the range-topping engine also gives drivers the added flexibility of a six-speed manual gearbox.

Five and seven seat versions of the NV200 Combi have also been upgraded. Bluetooth connectivity is standard across the Combi range, while a new flagship SE+ variant adds Nissan Connect, cruise control and a driver adjustable speed limiter to its standard equipment list.

Nissan’s LCV sales and marketing director, Francis Bleasdale, said: ‘We’ve been delighted by the success of the NV200 which has proved that a new van can make a big impression in an established market if it offers the right mix of innovation, quality and value. With significant range enhancements and a powerful new flagship engine, we look forward to even stronger demand for the NV200 over the coming months.
