Big, bold and strong, the Nissan Interstar is one of several recent additions to the manufacturer’s new-look LCV line-up – and pricing information has just been released for the vehicle.
All the models in Nissan’s refreshed van portfolio are designed to provide efficient mobility solutions for businesses – and Interstar, available from just £26,990 (exc. VAT) and introduced to succeed the NV400, is of course no exception.
It’s already proving a compelling proposition, with its impressive load-carrying abilities and the five-year, 100,000-mile, pan-European warranty that applies to all Nissan LCVs, plus five years’ roadside assistance.
The Nissan Interstar can carry up to 17 cubic metres of cargo – that’s up to five Euro pallets – or 22 cubic metres with the box van conversion. A low floor and wide-opening doors make it easy to load items up to 4.4 metres in length.
And it makes available an extended range of engines with seven power outputs, from the newly introduced 110hp unit up to 180hp, all based on a 2.3-litre engine updated to the latest Euro 6d and Euro VIe standards.
First in the Interstar line-up comes the Visia trim-level panel van priced from £26,990 and equipped with all the essentials required for a dependable business transport partner. Key features include a driver’s seat with longitudinal and height adjustment plus lumbar support; a nearside sliding door; full steel bulkhead; alarm; 50:50 split 180° unglazed rear doors and an FM/DAB radio with Bluetooth telephone integration.
Next in line, and priced from £27,840, comes the Acenta trim level Interstar. Here, a range of technologies such as rear parking sensors (on vans and crew vans) and cruise control come as standard, together with a selection of features that enhance the practicality and comfort of the vehicle.
These include a one-touch driver’s window; soundproofing trim on the bulkhead; a 12V socket in the load compartment of vans/crew vans; and a passenger airbag.
Tekna-badged models deliver even more creature comforts – all from just £29,040. Among them are manual air-conditioning, front fog lights, plus automatic wipers and headlights.
Front parking sensors and a rear view camera make potentially tricky manoeuvres a breeze, while a 7” touchscreen NissanConnect system with satnav, Android Auto and Apple Carplay makes life on board more enjoyable and enhances the driver’s connectivity with the business.
Top-of-the range Interstars in Tekna+ specification – available from £29,540 – boast Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Detection, auto high/low beam headlights and keyless entry.
Interstar crew vans are priced from £31,990. With large windows and comfortable seats, they deliver up to seven people fresh and ready to work – yet still have plenty of space in the cargo area.
Interstar is also available as a Dropside Single/Double Cab or Tipper factory conversion, or as a Chassis Single/Double Cab or Platform Cab for any specific conversion you may need.
To sum up, it continues the traditions of the NV400 by being a comfortable and capable load carrier – and it certainly stands out visually. Its carved-from-solid design makes a powerful first impression – just what your business needs.
Not only that, but its aerodynamic shape will have a positive effect on your fuel budget.
Francesco Russiello, LCV Manager at Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd, said: ‘‘Interstar ticks every box for any business looking for a commercial vehicle that’s strong and reliable, with a large, practical load space, a spacious cab, and an efficient and economical engine.
‘‘With a range of layouts, ready-to-go and locally-sourced conversions plus Nissan’s renowned strength and quality, the boldly-styled Interstar is the ideal business partner.’’
