A SOUTH Wales car retailer has kicked off a sponsorship deal in support of a youth football team.
Bassetts Nissan in Neath Road, Swansea, has stumped up £300 to buy kit for Cwmaman Institute Football Club, near Aberdale.
It’s a massive boost for the small village club, which is made up of youngsters aged from seven to nine.
As well as Bassetts Nissan emblazoned on their kit, they also have the Nissan logo on their sleeves.
Dealer Principal at Bassetts Nissan, Ioan Harries, said: “We love to do our bit for the local community so when this opportunity came up we jumped at the chance of supporting this young team.
“The kit is fantastic – they all look the business.”
The partnership between Bassetts Nissan and the club came about thanks to Used Car Sales Manager, Alan Thorne, who lives in the village and had previously run the youth side.
He said: “It’s wonderful that our dealership gets involved in community projects like this.
“The youngsters all love their kit and they say it feels great to play in.
“It’s also a fabulous way of showing off the Nissan brand to the local community.”
