TEAM GB athlete Eilish McColgan has given pupils from Arbroath Academy a running masterclass.
The Dundee-based middle distance runner, who represented Team GB in the 3,000m steeplechase at the London 2012 Olympic Games, spent several hours at the school working with dozens of sporting students hoping to follow in her footsteps.
The masterclass was arranged by Arbroath Nissan dealer Mackie Motors as part of a deal which has seen them supply Eilish with a new Nissan Juke – a major boost to her preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Speaking after the event, Eilish said: “It’s always exciting to work with young people who are passionate about athletics. I really enjoyed the session.”
