IT WAS great to see so many of you at the fantastic Nissan brand event in Bratislava last week.
We took over the Slovakian capital with the theme ‘Innovation and Excitement’ and I think it delivered plenty of both.
At the start, I promised you’d see an avalanche of new product. As a series of stunning new models rolled down the runway at the heart of the auditorium, you were given an exclusive glimpse into the future of the brand up to the end of 2015 and witnessed the scale of our ambition.
But there was plenty of substance to back up the style.
While these new models will drive our growth plans and help us reach our goal of six per cent market share in the UK, we explained how we would be backing their launch with a comprehensive plan of action to develop and improve how we do business.
You heard first-hand how we plan to boost our sales and aftersales performance, make greater in-roads in the fleet and commercial sectors and improve public perceptions and recognition of Nissan.
Promotional partnerships
And you saw how all this will be supported by our biggest-ever marketing push, with a record TV advertising spend and massive promotional partnerships like our sponsorship of Team GB and Paralympics GB.
You will also have taken on board the need for each of you to develop your businesses in line with our vision so we can all move forward together, making the most of the growth opportunities offered by the exciting new products. Hopefully, you’ve been inspired to do so and have great confidence in the scale of Nissan’s ambition.
The feedback we’ve had following the event has been fantastic but it’s important we continually engage with you as our plans progress.
