THREE UK Nissan dealerships have received the company’s highest honour – a Nissan Global Award.

The West Way Nissan outlets in Manchester and Aldershot and Wessex Garages’ branch in Cardiff were presented with the prestigious awards at the Nissan 360 brand event in Los Angeles – a celebration of Nissan’s 80th birthday.

The awards recognise the dealerships’ outstanding sales and aftersales performance, particularly in terms of new car sales and customer satisfaction.

And they mean the trio can now officially claim to be among the very best Nissan dealerships in the world. This year, just 114 dealers from 26 eligible countries received the award.

Dean Naylor and Paul Lloyd, Dealer Principals at West Way Aldershot and Manchester respectively, and Wessex Garages Chairman, Steve Patch, travelled to LA where they received the honours from David Murfitt, Director of Network Development and Quality at Nissan Motor GB, and Koen Maes, Vice President Customer and Retail Experience at Nissan Europe, at a lavish gala dinner.

Meanwhile, Nissan CEO, Carlos Ghosn, sent staff at the three dealerships his personal thanks by video message.

Addressing dealers at the presentation ceremony, Mr Ghosn, said: ‘This award is evidence of your hard work, determination, leadership and communication.

Outstanding contribution

‘To win the Nissan Global Award means your team has earned what so many others strive to achieve each year.

‘With your help, Nissan will continue to deliver a sales, ownership and driving experience that exceeds customer expectations.

‘Thank you and every member of your team for your outstanding contribution.’
