A UNIQUE experiment combining Nissan and social media is now being aired on the internet.
Back in October 2011, Nissan approached a production company to create a unique Bollywood film where the extras were ‘found’ through a special Facebook page.
Nissan India’s Facebook page ran an audition process where the winners would join Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor in a special Bollywood film called ‘New Star of India’. It would follow the plot of a traditional Bollywood film – but with a Nissan twist.
Users had to upload a video of themselves dancing in order to be selected for the unique film.
The film has now gone live on the internet – and features a special star: more than 100 Nissan Micras.
The social media stunt led to Nissan getting an impressive 500,000 fans within six weeks.
