The West Way group of Nissan dealerships in the UK is entering an exciting new era.
It has been announced that the nine businesses, acquired from Nissan GB by the AW Rostamani Group in late 2022, are to take the Brayleys name of their sister company (effective August 1st).
The respected dealer group Brayleys is well-known to UK motorists. Founded in 2003, Brayleys has grown to represent manufacturers such as Honda, Kia, Mazda and Renault at busy sites across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey, North London, Essex and Oxfordshire.
High standards
The nine West Way Nissan dealerships are all successful businesses too, and are spread across central and north-west England. Locations include Wolverhampton, Stourbridge and Birmingham in the midlands; and Manchester, Oldham and Rochdale further north.
In some territories, the name West Way has been a familiar one for over 20 years – but customers can be assured that the high standards of service they have been used to will continue in the new Brayleys era.
Following the addition of these sites into Brayleys Cars Ltd, the group will represent nine manufacturers with over 30 dealerships. It has ambitions to expand still further.
The fact that the nine Nissan sites became component parts of a larger organisation has delivered benefits for staff and customers alike.
Under the new Brayleys banner, even greater synergies will be achieved moving forward, with an enhanced common identity and a feeling of strength and unity.
One area where the partnership has proved especially beneficial has been fleet and corporate sales. Colleagues in West Way’s highly successful fleet department, established for more than 20 years, have been working hard to deliver as much choice as possible to corporate clients – plus first-rate levels of customer care, of course.
Hitting the headlines
Nissan is a particularly strong operator in the fleet sector. In particular, its small LCV Townstar, available with either a petrol or all-electric powertrain, has been hitting the headlines for all the right reasons. As well as enjoying success at the 2024 What Van? Awards, it was crowned Small Electric Van of the Year at this year’s Company Car & Van Awards.
Moreover, its larger siblings Interstar and Primastar are exceptionally well regarded and demand for them is high.
Behind the scenes, too, the new Brayleys era will deliver benefits. The company is working hard to harness changes in technology to enhance efficiency and continue to deliver seamless customer experiences across the business.
Paul Brayley, CEO of Brayleys Cars Ltd, said: ‘‘Over the last 18 months, we’ve been working hard to align the businesses which now have a shared infrastructure and programme to drive synergy of systems and processes.
A proud moment
‘‘We are delighted to report that very good progress has been made, thanks to the efforts of everyone involved. On a personal note, this is a proud moment to be expanding the Brayleys name further.’’
Csaba Vincze, Network Development and Customer Quality Director at Nissan GB, said: ‘‘We appreciate the rebranding exercise that the Group has announced. A huge amount has been achieved over the course of Nissan’s long-standing partnership with West Way, as a result of a continued commitment on both sides.
‘‘I would like to convey my thanks for their efforts over the duration of our relationship and I have no doubt that our partnership will continue to go from strength to strength under the new branding.”
