Three Nissan dealership employees are enjoying some well-deserved time in the limelight after being named Dealer Ambassadors of the Month for February 2021.
The regular award, which is open to everyone working in Nissan’s UK retail network, recognises the great lengths staff members go to in order to make the lives of their colleagues and customers that little bit easier.
The scheme is designed to celebrate best practice and exceptional individual performance, and as well as receiving official recognition, each winner is awarded 350 N-GAGE points.
For February, the following three people were nominated: Paul Williams, a Motability specialist at Wessex Garages Nissan, Cardiff; Chris Hume, master technician at Charles Hurst Nissan, Newtownards; and Emily Scarlett, a senior service advisor at Glyn Hopkin Nissan, Bishop’s Stortford.
All three should be very proud of their achievements.
Paul Williams’ nomination highlighted the fact that he has worked at Wessex Garages Nissan, Cardiff for ten years and in that time has facilitated the delivery of more than 3,000 Motability cars!
His can-do attitude and professionalism lead to him receive an abundance of praise from customers and he is known for his caring and thoughtful approach to sensitive situations.
His efforts during the pandemic have underlined the fact that he puts customers front and centre of everything he does. In fact, he was described as ‘‘the essence of a consummate professional’’ – praise indeed!
The Dealer Ambassador judges were told that master technician Chris Hume, the second winner for February, excels himself day in, day out. He’s the first one in and last one to leave – and even on his days off will connect remotely or call in if someone needs assistance.
Chris always goes the extra mile and engages with everybody in the team and any customer he speaks to. He was described quite simply as the backbone of Charles Hurst Nissan, Newtownards.
Emily Scarlett, the third winner for February, has been working as a service advisor for two years. Although lacking a motor industry background, she has acquired the necessary skill set extremely quickly, gaining lots of fantastic feedback along the way.
Her dedication became even more apparent during the height of the pandemic. She picked up cars belonging to vulnerable customers and even offered to assist with their shopping in some cases!
Emily has helped out at other Glyn Hopkin branches during lockdowns and always takes everything in her stride – even cancelling time off to help keep things running smoothly.
Since receiving her award, Emily has now been promoted and is now a deputy service manager with Glyn Hopkin in St Albans.
The Dealer Ambassador of the Month Awards continue throughout 2021, where senior staff are invited to nominate high-achieving team members through the Dealer Ambassador of the Month portal via N-GAGE.
