STAFF at a Nissan car dealership with outlets across south Wales and the south-west of England are celebrating after scooping two accolades at the Western Daily Press Business Awards.
Wessex Garages was named Business of the Year and given the Customer Service Award at the event held at the Marriott City Centre in Bristol.
Keith Brock, Managing Director of Wessex Garages, said: “We are extremely proud to have won these awards. We were surprised to come away with both of them, as we were up against some stiff competition.
“I would like to thank all the Wessex Garages staff for their hard work and dedication, as without them, winning the awards would not have been possible.
“We have been working hard on our customer service initiatives during the past few years and have implemented and invested in several new innovative strategies. Our aim is to create total transparency and trust for our customers.”
Wessex Garages uses Reevoo, which is an independent online review system. The service sends feedback forms to all of its customers and the answers, good or bad, are automatically available for anyone to view on its website, which reinforces its aim to be as transparent as possible. Currently, 95 per cent of Wessex Garages’ customers would happily buy from it again.
Keith added: “We also have an interactive video service known as Wessex Vision. The service involves a member of the team being able to send a customer a pre-recorded video by email showing the work required or explaining why the car does not require additional maintenance or repair.
“Following the launch of the new service, we saw an increase in positive comments on our dedicated review section of our website.
“Our on-going commitment is to create total transparency, trust and value for money for our customers and to achieve 100 per cent customer satisfaction.”

The Customer Service Award was presented to the business that provided the best service to the community. It was seen to be regularly going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure its customers received excellent service.
