West Way Nissan Scrums Down With Sale Sharks

WEST Way Nissan in Manchester is scrumming down with Sale Sharks — for an 18-month sponsorship deal.

West Way, on Chancellor Lane, Ardwick, will have both marketing and branding rights, and has also joined Sale Sharks Business Club, a growing arm of the rugby side’s corporate business.

As part of the deal, West Way — which is part of the biggest Nissan group in the UK — has provided seven Nissans to managers and staff, and a Nissan van to help with Sale Sharks community project to get disabled people playing wheelchair rugby.

There will also be a variety of special offers to Sale Sharks fans looking to buy a Nissan.

Dealer Principal and Sale Sharks fan Dave Gordon has overseen seven Nissan cars being handed to staff at the club.

He said: “We wanted to look at sponsoring another big club in sport, following Nissan’s successful partnership with Manchester City, and are delighted to announce this partnership with an elite Premiership rugby club.

“Our first move was to handover two Nissan Qashqais to managers, four Nissan Jukes to support staff, and one seven-seater X-Trail for community use.”

Mark Cueto MBE, Sale Sharks ambassador and commercial director, said: “It’s great to have West Way Nissan in Manchester on board.

“Our staff are already enjoying the fleet of cars that the dealership donated and we are looking forward to the next 18 months of this partnership.”
