ANDY PALMER, Executive Vice President of Nissan Motor Company Limited, will provide the keynote speech at the fifth annual summit of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Now firmly established as a must-attend event in the automotive calendar, this year’s International Automotive Summit will be held at Canary Wharf on June 13.
Mr Palmer is globally responsible for product and corporate planning, programme management, market intelligence and IS as well as having worldwide responsibility for the Infiniti business unit and marketing communications.
To be chaired by national broadcaster, Justin Webb, this year’s Summit centres around three main streams:
- The future of vehicle retail, supported by GForces Web Management.
- Innovation in Intelligent Mobility Systems and Advanced Propulsion, supported by KPMG.
- Growth in the automotive supply chain.
Throughout the day, panellists will explore each stream with focused session topics including the changing nature of the consumer, key technologies manufacturers are adopting and how the UK can play a major role in technology innovation.
Attendees will also gain insight into vehicle manufacturers’ future purchasing strategies, funding opportunities, capital investment and workforce training in the automotive supply chain.

The event, supported by co-media partners, Autocar and WhatCar?, is expected to attract up to 250 senior delegates from the full breadth of the automotive industry.
