A ONE-OF-A-KIND Nissan signed by a number of celebrities will be auctioned next week to raise money for charity.
Wessex Garages in Gloucester is auctioning the old Nissan Almera to raise money for the Pied Piper Appeal and Winston’s Wish.
The car has been signed by celebrity cooks Mary Berry, James Martin and Gino D’Acampo.
Former England and Gloucestershire cricketer and artist, Jack Russell has also signed the car and drawn a self-portrait on the bonnet.
Matthew Cripps, General Manager at the Mercia Road dealership, said: “We hope lots of people will take the opportunity to bid on this unique vehicle.”
The auction will take place during a fashion show being held at the dealership from 7pm on Thursday evening (17 October).
Matthew added: “People who come along to the event will be able to see volunteers from the Pied Piper Appeal model nearly new clothing from well-known high street brands from Jacques Vert to Diane von Furstenburg.
“After the show people will have the chance to buy some of the clothes they saw on the catwalk. The money raised from the sale of the clothes will and the auction of the car will be donated to the Pied Piper Appeal.”
Winston’s Wish, which is based in Cheltenham, is the leading childhood bereavement charity and the largest provider of services to bereaved children, young people and their families in the UK.
The Pied Piper Appeal was created in 1992 to improve the lives of sick children in Gloucestershire. Initially started to fund a new children’s hospital for the county, the charity now helps sick children from across Gloucestershire in many different ways.
Tickets for the event cost £5 per person and are available to purchase from the Pied Piper Appeals’ office at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital or by calling 0300 422 6119. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased on the day.
