A DEALERSHIP has enjoyed a stunning re-design and a huge new extension to its showroom as business booms for the Nissan franchise.
Evans Halshaw, in Wessington Way, Sunderland, is now one of the biggest Nissan dealers in the country after its car sales team expanded into an old workshop building.
At the same time, the dealership also adopted Nissan’s innovative 21st-century showroom concept, with technology and creature comforts combined to enhance the overall customer experience.
The revamp centres around a comfortable and stylish area where customers can enjoy a freshly-brewed coffee while they take in all the latest offers and deals.
The five-month redevelopment also saw the dealership’s car park resurfaced and realigned, providing substantial more parking for customers.
Alan Sedman, Dealer Principal at Evans Halshaw Nissan, Sunderland, said: “It’s been a busy few months getting this redevelopment in place but it’s been worth it. The staff and customers absolutely love the new look.
“We’ve got more room for new car sales and our used car sales department is now better served. The extension means we are now one of the biggest Nissan dealerships in the country. We wanted to expand to keep up with demand – being just a stone’s throw from the Nissan factory means we are very busy all the time. Business has been booming as the Nissan brand just keeps growing.”
Visitors to the new-look dealership – which is currently the best-performing Nissan dealer nationally for sales and service customer satisfaction as well as sales market penetration – will find:
- An open-plan layout without traditional sales and service desks
- A stunning ‘halo’ display hanging above star models and displaying key product information
- An iPad station where customers can surf the web
A launch evening was laid on for guests to celebrate the new makeover which included a performance from a local band, magician, food and a spectacular firework finale.
A total of £305 was raised for St Benedict’s Hospice in Sunderland, which has also been donated an all-electric e-NV200 by Evans Halshaw Nissan Sunderland to transport patients for the forthcoming year.
