A WHOLE host of Nissan dealerships are included in a fascinating new list published by Car Dealer magazine today: The 100 most influential dealers on Twitter.
Publication of the list coincides with the launch of Car Dealer’s brand new forum, which provides an exciting online space for members of the motor trade to comment on the hot topics in the industry.
The Car Dealer team spent weeks analysing the motor trade’s Twitter users via Klout – a website which scores social media users on their influence.
The magazine then researched each company’s influence to reveal the industry’s top Tweeters. Businesses of all sizes were considered for inclusion, from independent traders to franchised dealer groups.
And Nissan is certainly well-represented. Among its dealers on the list are Evans Halshaw; Westover Group; Macklin Motors and Lookers.
Well represented
James Batchelor, editor of Car Dealer, said: ‘Twitter has been the social media phenomenon of last couple of years and the automotive industry has been using it to the full. Most of the main brands are pretty well represented and Nissan is no exception.
‘Twitter can be hugely useful to dealerships of all shapes and sizes, whether they want to use it to highlight special deals or offers; appeal for a particular car a customer is interested in; or simply maintain a dialogue with customers and other interested parties.’
