NISSAN’S global production and sales hit record highs in April.
Company figures show global production increased 5.4 percent year-on-year to 418,124 units, marking an all-time record for the month of April.
The UK made a significant contribution to the figures, recording a larger increase in production during April than any other country.
Production at Sunderland increased 27.4 percent year-on-year to 44,152 units. This was mainly due to higher demand for the Note and the new Qashqai.
Nissan aslo enjoyed its best ever April in terms of sales, with a 12.6% year-on-year increase to 410,264 units worldwide.
In Europe, sales increased 17.8% year-on-year to 51,510 units.
