TAKASHI Shirakawa has been promoted to the post of senior vice-president of research and redevelopment in Europe, Nissan has announced.
Formerly the vice-president of powertrain design and development, vehicle testing and LCV engineering for Europe, he has replaced Hiroshi Nagaoka, who is now the corporate vice-president and Renault-Nissan Alliance global director of computer-aided engineering and testing division No 1 in Japan.
Mr Shirakawa, pictured, is based at the Nissan Technical Centre Europe in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, reporting to Paul Willcox, who is senior vice-president and chairman of the management committee for Europe.
Nissan has also announced the following managerial promotions:
- Masaki Toriumi has become the new vice-president of powertrain design and development, vehicle testing and LCV engineering for Europe, having been the deputy general manager of the Nissan product strategy department. He is based in Barcelona and will report to Mr Shirakawa.
- Friederike Kienitz is the new vice-president of legal affairs for Europe, having been its general manager, and is based at Nissan’s European offices in Rolle, Switzerland. She replaces Hari Nada, who has taken a position at Nissan Motor Corp in Japan.
All the changes took effect from yesterday.
