Treble Triumph for Nissan at GreenFleet Awards

NISSAN was the star of the show at last night’s prestigious GreenFleet Awards, collecting three of the evening’s top honours.

The brand was named Electric Vehicle Manufacturer of the Year and LCV Manufacturer of the Year for the all-electric e-NV200 van.

Clare Collings, a member of Nissan’s specialist EV fleet team, also received a coveted EV Champion award for her work to encourage electric vehicle uptake in the fleet sector.

It’s the second year running Nissan has enjoyed a night to remember at the awards. Last year the e-NV200 was named Innovation of the Year while the brand also collected the Outstanding Achievement Award for its tri-party pilot of the 100% electric van.

Presenting this year’s awards at a ceremony at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, Colin Boyton, Events Manager at GreenFleet, said: “Nissan has once again proven to be the market leaders in getting EV adoption in the fleet sector.

“Its vehicles are fantastic and have a place in pretty much any kind of fleet, and their EV product specialists are extremely knowledgeable too.

“Nissan is a very worthy winner of GreenFleet’s 2015 EV Manufacturer of the Year Award.”

Of the e-NV200, he added: “What Nissan have done is taken a popular van, added world class EV technology and taken it to market, with no compromise to the end user, making it deserving of the GreenFleet LCV Manufacturer of the Year for 2015 title.”

Barry Beeston, Corporate Sales Director at Nissan Motor (GB) said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised by GreenFleet in this way.

“Nissan dominates the electric vehicle market but we have never lost sight of the need to make our EVs relevant and attractive to the fleet sector.

“These awards underline the growing impact the LEAF and e-NV200 are having on fleets large and small the length and breadth of the UK, helping to reduce both costs and emissions.”
