The names of September’s Nissan Dealer Ambassadors have been revealed, with all three of them having gone above and beyond the call of duty for customers.
Gary Cawtherley from Chorley Nissan, Helen Rackstraw from Lookers Nissan Gateshead and Paul Stanley from Glyn Hopkin Nissan Colchester were recognised for their exceptional efforts to help people.
Master technician Gary, who has been with Nissan for 24 years, showed ‘‘Chorley Nissan has the highest levels of customer consideration’’ after he assisted a 370Z owner who had picked up a puncture.
The driver wasn’t a Chorley customer but Gary spotted him when he was out on a road test and drove back to the dealership to pick up a tyre inflation kit. When it turned out a new tyre was required, Gary removed the damaged one and put on the spare, which the customer was extremely grateful for as he was on his way to a meeting in a smart suit!
He later emailed expressing his gratitude and it seems Chorley Nissan has gained a long-term customer for the future.
Our next Dealer Ambassador, Helen Rackstraw, service advisor at Lookers Nissan Gateshead, helped a customer who had become stranded after a long detour led to her LEAF running out of battery.
Late in the afternoon, the motorist spoke to Helen, who was at home at the time, after the RAC said it would take five hours to get to her.
After speaking to one of the dealership’s EV technicians, Helen drove to his house with her young child to collect him and together they travelled to the customer.
Helen then drove her home while the technician used an EV booster pack to get the vehicle back to the dealership. Good work!
Paul Stanley, sales consultant at Glyn Hopkin, was nominated for his excellent customer service and frequent top reviews about the experience people have with him.
One said: ‘‘My dealer Paul was very helpful and had an amazing understanding and support of what I required.
‘‘He took time out to continually update me on my new vehicle as well as ensuring I was happy and comfortable within my new vehicle, thus ensuring I had made the correct choice.’’
The Dealer Ambassador of the Month Awards are open to everyone working in Nissan’s UK retail network and recognise the lengths staff members go to in order to make the lives of their colleagues and customers that little bit easier.
As well as receiving official recognition, each winner is awarded 350 N-GAGE points.
